Log Integration Guide

Log Integration procedure:

To forward vCenter logs to a remote Syslog server, following the below steps:

  1. Log in to the Management Interface

  2. Switch to Main UI from Question/Help-> Main UI

  1. Login to the Main UI

  2. From the main menu, select Monitoring > Logs > Server log.

  1. In the Syslog Configuration, next to the Admin Status, select the Enable radio button.

  2. Click Apply.

  1. Under Server Configuration, enter following details:

  • IP Address Type: IPv4

  • Host Address: [Log Collector IP of specific branch]

  • Port: 12521

  • Severity Filter: Debug

  1. Click Apply to save the settings.
