# 10\_Active-Defense-Services

Active-Defense-Services (ADS) helps you emulate fake network protocols and services with basic functionality, in which advisories are limited in the way they interact. ADS acts as an early-warning system by detecting and logging connection attempts, that may have passed you other security defenses or to catch internal threats.

Active-Defense-Service (ADS) module is classified into:

1. Services - Low-Interactive-Active-Defense-Services (ADS-LIADS)
2. Tokens - Active-Defense-Services Tokens (ADS-Tokens)

**Note:** ADS-Tokens are currently in beta, and are based on CaranyTokens by Thinkst Canary
